What a great dialogue dinner it was! Students and faculties from College of Charleston, The Citadel and High School Students from Charleston County School District gathered together at Avery Research Center on November 14, 2016 for the Annual Future Leaders of Dialogue Dinner. “Discovery, Partnership, Change,” teaching students how to discover their leadership capacity, create peer-to-peer partnerships and create positive change in their communities was the theme for the discussion on this evening. We were very fortunate to be able to spend an evening gaining a little insight into other cultures and having some great discussion about what it means to be a leader. Thank you again to our speaker Mike Gibbons who gave us his very entertaining insights of being a great leader.
Lucky ones among our guests that won this year’s trip to Columbia were chosen by raffle and they are Cody Koski, Denisha Wright, Robert Machamer, Nathaniel Paul, and Mayra Lomeli-Garcia. They will be going to the South Carolina Capital State House in February to meet with local politicians and participate in a Leadership dinner.
We give special thanks to our committee members Scott Segrest and Michael Haga as well as the sponsoring departments for making this program possible.
