2017 Tour of Faiths
The Tour of Faiths program is a great way to spark interfaith dialogue as various groups from the community travel to five different faith establishments to learn and understand more about that religion. This is the second year the month of July will be dedicated to this program and we are excited for everyone to have this experience.
Temple of Israel

Location: 400 Spring Forest Road, Greenville, SC 29615
Description: The Temple’s community was started by over 1,000 Jewish refugees coming from Europe in 1910. Today the Temple is home to about 190 families and is continuing to flourish and expand. The temple’s goal is to create a warm and inviting place for worship.
Greenville Baha’i Center

Description: The service we will be attending observes the execution of a young man, Ali-Muhammad, who was known as the Bab (the Gate) because he heralded the advent of Baha'u'llah (the Glory of God), the founder of the Baha'i Faith. The execution took place in Tabriz, Iran, in 1850, at noon. During the audiovisual program, the life and teachings of the Bab will be outlined. After a time for questions, light refreshments will be served.

Description: The Greenville Muslim community began in the 1970s and was started in an old rented room. Today the mosque and center that has been serving the upstate for over 30 years. For all who wish to participate in this tour there is a dress code below. Dress code: men- long sleeved shirts and long pants
Women- Long sleeved shirts, long pants and head scarf to cover hair
*All shoes must be removed before entering the prayer room
Holy Cross Episcopal Church
