The Charleston Future Leaders Dialogue Dinner on February 18, 2020 was a wonderful success and we would like to thank all the students and faculty who helped make it a special evening! We were joined by student leaders from The Citadel and College of Charleston at the College of Charleston Alumni Center. Our theme for the evening was “Embracing Differences and Encouraging Uniqueness” and we were so fortunate to be able to share in riveting discussions, gaining insight on other cultures, and learning what it means to be a leader.
We would like to extend our thanks once again to keynote speaker Dr. Renard Harris who started his speech out with a jazz tone and his harmonica. He went on to say that we should all look at life through our differences. That life will be richer and more interesting if we do and that is okay to put that away and look at life through normal.
We had several lucky winners of our Leadership Bridge day trip to Columbia that were chosen by raffle. Tanner Kennaw, Kyundra Martin, Kelly Vicario, Zaylee Butler, and Clark Roberts all will join us for a trip in March to the South Carolina State House to meet with local politicians and participate in a Leadership Dialogue meal.
We want to give a special thanks to all the sponsoring departments for making this program possible. We would also like to extend our thanks to Charissa Owens for keeping us on track and providing valuable insights throughout the evening.
